What politics of embodiment and representation enable authenticity in a volatile and liberal body that is constantly negotiating with the virtual? Stephen Thompson’s work with breath, presence, cultural contamination, layering of semiotics, authentic movement, imposed gestures and transforming offers the spectator various perspectives for complex readings and unknown permutations – is this neo-liberalism or just a bunch of bullshit?
